Now Going To Warn People Whose Account Is Close To Being Banned With New Alert

Instagram is going to strengthen its moderation policy today and going to alert people who violet the rules when their account is this close to being closed.

 

 

This rule violation alert will show users a history of their posts, comments and stories that Instagram has had to remove and also the reason behind removing it.

 

“If you post something that goes against our guidelines again, your account may be deleted,” the page reads.

 

Instagram will give the users a chance to appeal its moderation request directly through the alert, rather than having them go through the help section of the page.

 

Only some types of content will be able to be appealed at first (such as pictures removed for nudity or hate speech), and Instagram plans to expand the available content appeal types over time.

 

This change will help users know that their particular post(s) has removed and the reason why Instagram has taken that decision. Just like its parent company Facebook, Instagram has also had regular problem with moderating nudity and sexuality. where users have had photos removed for posting pictures of breastfeeding or period blood.

 

In addition to this new alert, Instagram is also going to give its team of moderators more leeway to ban bad actors. Instagram has been banning bad actors who posts “certain percentage of violating content” but now, it will ban people who commit violation of policy repeatedly for a certain span of time. These specifics here are not clear as Instagram never shares details about the banning policy.
