Instagram Adds ‘Posts You’ve Seen’ Feature To The App

Instagram Adds ‘Posts You’ve Seen’ Feature To The App

Instagram has come up with an excellent feature that allows you to track all the posts and profiles that you have visited.

This feature is specially designed to eliminate the chance of losing photos that you might have glimpsed and want to find again.

The app moves at a fast pace, so Instagram really wants to ensure that you can keep the track of content that you really enjoy. This feature was first spotted by Social Media consultant and Instagram boffin Matt Navarra, with the help from tech site WABetaInfo.

According to Matt, this feature is in testing mode so it is not available for all the Instagram users.

Matt says, this feature “shows any posts or profiles you’ve viewed in your feed”.

When Instagram displayed posts in time format, it was easy to find posts that you have seen- just by scrolling down.

But now, Instagram shows posts based on an algorithm which take them out of time order.

Now, you can see a post and, then struggle to find it later. Similarly, you might end up someone’s profile and forget to follow them. When it comes to following that person again, you have no option but to search for the person again down the line. And, this is exactly where the feature “Posts You’ve Seen” comes handy as it keeps track on photos, videos, and profiles you have visited, displaying them in a list.

If you have this feature then it will appear between Saved and Shopping Bag in your Instagram setting.

You can see the posts that you have commented on and the posts that you have seen.

The bad news is that Instagram isn’t guaranteed to roll out any of these features for all the users.

Instagram tests different features on a regular basis but not all of them get into the public version of the app.
